Every golfer counts more than strokes or stableford points on the golf course. There might be a nearest the pin competition, a putting contest, a driving duel or a best team score.
Lets Play Golf helps you spice up your rounds by adding up the side bet results to the stableford (or net) scores to create an overall winner for the day. Using it makes golf even more fun!
This app provides an easy and innovative way to manage your own golf tournaments from 2-120 players. Whether you are playing a 1 day-outing, having a weekend trip with friends, a training week with your team or a tour that lasts a season.......
Let’s Play golf helps you set up your rounds, groups, playing formats and especially the side bets. And of course, it keeps score of all your games and wagers.
What does it do
This app adds up the side bet results to the stableford scores to create an overall winner for the day.
A player can win up to 5 bonus points by winning a sidebet competition. But when he brings home Frankie ‘the Snake’ (the ‘prize’ for making the last 3-putt of the round) 3 points are subtracted from his overall total.
Why is it fun
Playing with side bets adds to the fun on the golf course. A player can win prizes in more than 1 category even when his overall play is off, for the day. He still might win the ‘Sandsave’ sidebet or have the low number of total putts for that round.
By smartly selecting the side bets, the manager forces players to stay focussed for the whole round and think about their course management. He may show a player his strengths and weaknesses and most of all, adds lots of fun to playing golf with friends.
When playing multi-round tournaments, overall standings are being kept as well as separate standings for all played side bets. When a tournament is nearing the end a player may decide to especially focus on 1 or 2 side bets classifications. Making the app help him train on specific parts of his game.
How does it work
The tournament manager sets up the tournament, selects the course for round 1, invites the players that are taking part, chooses the side bets (to spice up the game) and sends an invitation to all players. Players with the app installed on their phones can then check the details of the round and start their preparations
Of course players without the app can take part in the tournament as well, the manager simply adds them as guests to the round.
After the round is played, every player calculates his scores and sends them to the manager using the app on his own phone. The manager calculates the results and after the prize giving ceremony the results (and standings) are sent to all players.
